Gorgeous Weather = BBQs

We had a wonderful BBQ with my parents and friends on Memorial Day.

This past weekend Brock was in town so we had another BBQ. Here are all the photos.

First Camping Trip

This past Memorial Day weekend Ivy went on her first camping trip with her grandpa Miller.

Ivy and I met my dad up at Detroit Lake on Friday afternoon.

Saturday afternoon Ben and Ivy's Uncle Julian and Auntie Amanda arrived.

Sunday my Aunt Judy and Uncle John came up for the day. It was a lot of fun spending time with family. Uncle John taught Julian how to fish and Julian caught his first fish. It was bigger than the 7 fish my dad caught! :-)

Ivy and I slept in the trailer in a regular bed as I was a little nervous about her being in a tent at 3.5 months. She did great in the trailer though.

She slept up against a wall on her side and I slept on the outter edge of the bed. Between her sounds and my dad's snoring I may have netted about 3 hours of sleep each night. :-)

Ben and Charlie-Bill slept in a tent. Charlie was GREAT on this trip. Ben and I were extremely impressed with how well he did sleeping in the tent, being tethered to a tree, and swimming!!!

He also stood guard over Ivy's outside bed when she napped. It was quite cute.

We all had a great time and are looking forward to the next trip.

Girls weekend at the Cabin

The weekend before last Grandma Joanne, Aunti Annie, Ivy and myself spent a long weekend a the cabin. It was GLORIOUS. This is going to become an annual girls weekend event. This year the theme was Baby Bootcamp and the goal was to get Ivy out of her swing and into her crib.
I took the pack-n-play as Ivy's bed and did not take the swing as a backup or vice.

Ivy screamed at her grandma for 2 of the 3 hours it took to drive to the lake. This may have been one reason she fell right to sleep that first night. In any case, Ivy went to sleep in her 'big girl bed' that first night and has been sleeping in her crib since.

The weather was gorgeous and we spent a lot of time relaxing by the water. It was a great time and I'm looking forward to next year's trip.

Mother's Day

Happy 1st Mother's Day!!!

We had a kickball game on Mother's Day, but the weather cooperated and we won so that was nice.

I woke up and Ben made me breakfast while Ivy slept until 10:30!!! It was glorious.

Then I opened a few gifts from the Bean. She got me 2 new games. YAY! I have yet to find time to play them, but am looking forward to that day.

After kickball we went to dinner at Island Cafe with my mom and Terry, Julian and Amanda and Keegs and Morgan. It was gorgeous and the wait wasn't bad.

The day was wonderful! I couldn't have asked for anything more.
