Walking and Talking
Hi there.
Things have been hectic around here lately. Super busy with work, super busy with growing babies, super busy with life...but we are enjoying life for the most part.
Andrea and Samantha were here last week. It was nice to have family around for a bit.
We spent a lot of time exploring and hanging out.
Work has been super busy as I transition from the Europe phase of my project to the Emerging Markets phase. Thankfully I am not in this alone...Jami is on the roller coaster with me. YAY! :-)
Ivy and Henry are growing like weeds. Henry is walking all over the place and Ivy is talking up a storm. Ivy has DEFINITELY entered her terrible twos. Most days are fine, but once in a while it is a serious challenge.
I have multiple videos of the kids to post, but will post one each day because if I post more than that, only the first one will play. :-)
I am heading to Portland March 7 - 17 for work and am really looking forward to seeing everyone.
Joanne is coming to Holland to be with Ben and the kids while I am gone. I am grateful that she was able to arrange this trip.
I hope to post additional blogs next week to make up for the lost time. A lot has happened and continues to happen and it's difficult to keep up. :-)
Enjoy the daily videos the remainder of the week!

Ivy turns 2!!!
Today is Ivy's 2nd Birthday.
Last year I started the tradition of taking Ivy and Henry's birthdays off and spending the day with them...so today I stayed home.
We started the day with a delicious daddy-made breakfast and opening presents.
She loved all of her gifts that came in the mail as well as the gifts from me and Ben. She immediately named her new baby "Boy". It's a boy of course. :-) She got a new digital camera and now carries it everywhere saying CHEESE! It's hilarious!
After presents we got dressed and drove to Den Haag to visit Madurodam.
For almost 60 years Madurodam has been the smallest city in the Netherlands. Canals, gabled houses, and all kinds of other typical Dutch scenes. The miniature city offer you the highlights of the Netherlands on a scale of 1:25.
It was super cool! Ivy loved it and Henry had a good time.
The weather was COLD and the whole thing is outdoors, but luckily after taking a break for a snack inside, the sun came out and we were able to enjoy ourselves a little longer.
After hitting up the gift shop and taking our picture in a GIANT wooden shoe, we headed home.
This afternoon Ivy and I made cupcakes for her to take to school tomorrow. While we were busy baking, Henry and Ben were hanging up some birthday party decorations.
After the cupcakes cooled Ivy and I sat down and decorated them. It was so fun and so cute!
Then we enjoyed a wonderfully delicious birthday dinner of Pizza and Chicken Nuggets!
I may be a partial judge, but I would say that today was a SUPER DUPER birthday day.
It's now time to prepare for Ivy's birthday party on Sunday. We are having friends over and celebrating with another meal of Pizza and Cupcakes. :-)
Enjoy the full picture album in the post below!
Love,
Lindz, Ben, Ivy and Henry
