Naps and exploration

Hello.

Yesterday was Saturday and we spent the day napping and exploring Hilversum in the car.

We found a lot of cool stuff, on accident, but probably couldn't find it again if we tried. :-)

Things are supposedly closer by bike because of all of the one-way streets. I looked in to renting bikes and it will cost less to just buy them and then sell them. Will hope to figure it all out today or tomorrow as I return the car Monday.

Ivy had a lot of fun dancing yesterday. I hope the video comes through.

Today we are going to try to find "Pancake Town". It's a little town in the middle of the forest with a really nice outdoor swimming pool and known for it's pancakes.

More on that tonight.

Arrived Safely in Hilversum

Hi all.

We arrived safely in Holland.
The trip over was good. The babies did much better than I had expected.
The first day/night was rough, but we seem to be doing better each day.

Last night we were invited to my boss, Nathalie's, house for a BBQ with her and her family (husband and 1 year-old). It was so much fun. Their home is not far from ours and it is very nice.
They have a lovely garden out back where we ate dinner and the children played.

The dinner was so delicious and gourmet.
We started with some caprese salad and french cheese with bread while the salmon was BBQing.
That was just the STARTER course. :-)
Next came green salad and potatoe salad and the most amazing burger I have ever had (sans bun).
The final course was a 'sausage' that was long and thin like a pepperoni stick. It had so much flavor.
We finished with a taste of an apricot pastry that mom and I picked up at Nathalie's (and now our) favorite French Bakery that is just around the corner from our house.

We had a lovely time.

Today is Saturday so we are going to rest a bit and go exploring in the car before I return it on Monday.

Hope everyone in the states is doing well.

More later!

Goings Ons...

Well Hello!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks.
We started off July with a BANG! Brock and Katie came down for a long weekend and we took all of the babies to the Waterfront Blues Festival. My dad met us there along with a couple of friends. It was a ton of fun. Ivy spent the day dancing and running around...And she got a taste of her first elephant ear. YUMM!

Last week we learned that we are moving to Amsterdam at the end of this month for a 3 month work assignment with Nike. We are VERY excited, but there is A LOT to do between now and July 28th.
Thankfully I love to live a crazy existence so this just helps with that. :-)

We will actually be getting a house in Hilversum, 3okm SE of Amsterdam. (Think Beaverton to Portland) This is where Nike's european headquarters are and it's supposed to be a quaint little town.
As this just came to fruition, we have no other plans than that.

In preparation for this big move, Ivy and Henry had their first passport photos taken today.

They are hilariously cute!

Hope everyone is enjoying summer, as it seems to have FINALLY arrived.
