Ivy turns 2!!!

Today is Ivy's 2nd Birthday.

Last year I started the tradition of taking Ivy and Henry's birthdays off and spending the day with them...so today I stayed home.

We started the day with a delicious daddy-made breakfast and opening presents.
She loved all of her gifts that came in the mail as well as the gifts from me and Ben. She immediately named her new baby "Boy". It's a boy of course. :-) She got a new digital camera and now carries it everywhere saying CHEESE! It's hilarious!

After presents we got dressed and drove to Den Haag to visit Madurodam.
For almost 60 years Madurodam has been the smallest city in the Netherlands. Canals, gabled houses, and all kinds of other typical Dutch scenes. The miniature city offer you the highlights of the Netherlands on a scale of 1:25.

It was super cool! Ivy loved it and Henry had a good time.

The weather was COLD and the whole thing is outdoors, but luckily after taking a break for a snack inside, the sun came out and we were able to enjoy ourselves a little longer.
After hitting up the gift shop and taking our picture in a GIANT wooden shoe, we headed home.

This afternoon Ivy and I made cupcakes for her to take to school tomorrow. While we were busy baking, Henry and Ben were hanging up some birthday party decorations.
After the cupcakes cooled Ivy and I sat down and decorated them. It was so fun and so cute!
Then we enjoyed a wonderfully delicious birthday dinner of Pizza and Chicken Nuggets!

I may be a partial judge, but I would say that today was a SUPER DUPER birthday day.

It's now time to prepare for Ivy's birthday party on Sunday. We are having friends over and celebrating with another meal of Pizza and Cupcakes. :-)

Enjoy the full picture album in the post below!
Love,
Lindz, Ben, Ivy and Henry
